Fraternal Delegates Attending the 17th CPI(M) Congress
THE CPI(M) had sent out letters to 25 communist and workers parties abroad, inviting them to send their delegations to the 17th congress of the party, to be held at Hyderabad. Of these, 21 parties consented to send their representatives to the CPI(M) congress, while the rest four expressed their inability to do so. While the Communist Party of Russian Federation did not sent its delegation because of legal hurdles, the Communist Party of Chile was facing a tough situation at home because of the ruling class attack against the party. As for the Communist Party of Spain and Communist Refoundation of Italy, they were about to hold their own conferences around the same time.
